Must-Have Extensions for The Microsoft Edge Users
Microsoft Edge browser is the better version of the age-old Internet Explorer. Initially, it was launched in Windows 10 and Xbox One. And a few years down the line, it was released on iOS, macOS, and Android. This browser includes Cortana – a virtual assistant connected to Bing, and a host of extensions similar to the ones you find on Google Chrome, Firefox, etc. Currently, there are only a few extensions available on the Microsoft Store, but hopefully, they will increase the numbers in the future.

If you want to use the best extensions, then check out the ones mentioned in the list to improvise your experience on Microsoft Edge:
Evernote Web Clipper
This extension lets you save things you see on the web into your Evernote account. It clips the important web pages, which makes it easy for you to visit them anytime. You can use the clips to remind or assign yourself some tags. Using this extension, you can find the webpage on all your devices as it syncs the data. The Highlight feature lets you mark important lines in the article. You can choose to edit and share the clips via an app or create a link for the recipients to download it easily. It can help you clip Gmail threads, attachments in the form of an entire page, selection, or simplified article. It includes special formats for LinkedIn, Amazon & YouTube.
Adblock Plus (Beta)
It is a free ad-blocking extension that is available in all browsers that supports websites that fail to block non-intrusive ads by default. Adblock Plus on Microsoft Edge is still in its early development stages, which is why the users might experience some issues and limitations on it. It will successfully block the ads, but the chances are that you may experience a few undesired side effects on some webpages. Keep up with the updates on Microsoft Edge and Adblock Plus to enhance the performance of this extension.
Mouse Gesture
This extension allows you to perform basic browsing tasks efficiently, and it speeds up your browsing experience. It brings easy mouse gesture controls that let you close the window, switch between tabs, go back and forth in the webpages, and more. After installing the extension, you have to do a right-click and hold the mouse for configuration. It offers 17 gestures, including four basics, one no-gesture control, and 12 advanced gestures. To learn all the gestures, press and hold the right-click the button and move the cursor in a random direction. This will show you all the possibilities on your screen.
Microsoft Edge Translator
Just as Google has Google Translate, Microsoft has its translator that can translate more than 60 foreign languages. When you read or go to any foreign language page, check for the Microsoft’s Translator in the address bar. Click on the translate button to get an instant translation of the article or webpage. This extension will prove beneficial even when you’re learning any foreign language online. You can select a line, choose your preferred language, and give a right-click to the translation button to translate and learn the foreign language faster.
Amazon Assistant
This extension is for the shopaholics or someone who wants to stay updated about the latest deals on Amazon. It is Amazon’s official browser extension that brings you access to shortcuts, deals of the day, and many updates on the site. It shows you notifications for your recent orders, including shipping and delivery details and confirmations. You will never miss out on the deals and can compare the price and products within a few minutes. The Assistant directs you to the popular pages on Amazon and lets you save products in the Wishlist tab.
Save to Pocket
This extension is for people who are always running around and want to save some of their favorite articles, videos, posts, etc. for later reading. This extension lets you do exactly that and brings you an easy-to-read layout on your phone, tablet, and computer. You can not only save your interest but also organize them in categories to find them easily in the library. It can also read you some articles while you’re boarding a train, or going for a walk. Pocket brings you some hand-picked personalized story recommendations as well.
Please note that all the extensions mentioned above are available for free in the Microsoft Store. If an extension doesn’t seem to work properly, then exit the browser and re-launch Microsoft Edge, or check if you are on the latest version of browser and extension or not.
