“Dune” Actor Zendaya Opens Up About “Euphoria” Season 2 With Her Co-Star Timothee Chalamet
In her interview with her Dune co-star Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya enthused about how being able to create artistic work whilst being involved in the projects that she connects with on a deeper level gives her happiness.
Zendaya has emerged as one of the talented emerging stars of this generation and even the pandemic hit 2020 has been an exceptional year for her. She became the youngest actress ever to win the coveted Emmy in the “Outstanding Lead Actress in the Drama Series” category. The award was bestowed upon her because of her riveting performance as Rue in the hit drama series “Euphoria” (which was filmed under pandemic protocols).

She is set to star in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune opposite Timothee Chalamet, and the two actors had a recorded virtual conversation with each other for the Elle magazine.
The two leading figures of “Tenet” talked about Zendaya’s soaring Emmy win and what they are doing to keep themselves happy in the turbulent 2020.
She opinionated that this is a hard time for everyone, and it is difficult to discover “joy” and “beauty” in things. However, she said that it is important for black people to stay united and not let anyone take the “joy” they deserve and need away from them.
Addressing her award win, she said that she had no idea she would be the one to win it, and she had accepted her award from someone else while she was in a hazmat suit.
She added that her work is her biggest “joy” in life. She experiences moments of joy when she is involved in some artwork and is doing something she deeply cares about. She mentioned the name of the two movies she shot in the lockdown, i.e., “Malcolm & Marie” and “Euphoria,” and said that these two movies did give her a lot of happiness.
She said that apart from her work, people’s responses to her work also gives her immense joy. She shared that she did like how people responded to Sam Levinson’s work (director of Euphoria). When talking about Euphoria, she added that she had heard so many tales of people losing their way because of the addiction and then finding their way back.
“That brings me a lot of hope,” she said.
She refrained from talking too much about Euphoria Season 2, but she said that there is a Christmas special coming. The filming of Season 2 had to be postponed because of the lockdown, and now it is unlikely to commence until she finishes her next Spider-Man film ( the filming of which is about to commence soon).
Zendaya is a busy young woman who loves to travel, but she has adapted herself to the new world following the pandemic lockdown. However, she did say that she misses her traveling days and is eager to get back on it. She admitted that going to places is a part of her job, and she still does not feel safe when she travels, and she misses her carefree life.
